As featured in BW Magazine, the 2008 BPW/USA National Conference incorporates other leading edge ways to preserve the environment – from online conference registration and virtual materials to hotel reservations. Nearly every hotel within the Hilton Family of Hotels takes part in the “Green Program –Conserve to Preserve,“ which includes water conservation, energy efficient lighting, and recycling. The hotel corporation even received the Energy Star award from the federal Environmental Protection Agency.

A carbon footprint measures the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced. The lower our footprint, the less environmental harm we do.
