Title:  “Live Juicy!  How To Be A Resilient Leader”
Keynote Speaker:  Anne Barab

Audiences describe presentations by resilience expert, Anne Barab, as “combining the wisdom of Mark Twain with the humor of Lucille Ball.”  While many think leadership means a head title, Barab works to help folks realize they can lead from anywhere in an organization. She will challenge you to absorb and process creative concepts, and provide take home tools to help you grow professionally and personally.
Great places to work cultivate an atmosphere of trust, pride and camaraderie to help everyone grow.  As BPW/USA promotes, and research studies confirm, there is a direct link between progressive professional practices and improved bottom line results.  In this Keynote Presentation participants will learn to:

Working nine to five isn’t the only way for them to make a living.  They would rather start their own businesses than climb a corporate ladder.  They will likely ask more questions in a job interview than the interview will ask them.  Salary is not their primary motivator.  And they certainly aren’t going to work 20 years at the same company in hopes of receiving a gold watch at the retirement party.

As one of the few female supervisors at the Goodyear plant in Gadsden, Alabama for 19 years, Lilly discovered she was earning 20 % less than the lowest paid man in the same position. She sued and won but in an enormous setback for working women, the Supreme Court ruled against her. Her case and the subsequent fight in Congress have become the new front in the fight for equal pay.

Title: The New Recruit
Speaker:  Sarah Sladek

The Baby Boomer generation has sustained membership associations for quite some time.  It’s time to also start thinking about X, Y, and Z – the next generation of association executives, board members and volunteers.

The New Recruit brings to light the challenges that Boomer-centric membership associations are experiencing and viable solutions that association executives can implement to successfully recruit and retain younger generations.  The only succession plan a membership association has is the continuation of its membership.
